Madeline Lester and Associates is an award-wining interior design firm whose projects have received international exposure. They specialize in serving clients in the retail, hospitality and high-end residential markets. The firm serves key clients in a range of different strategic design services on projects and developments.
Madeline is an interior designer and a design management consultant with over 35 years of experience working in residential, retail and commercial projects. During her collegiate career, she earned a Graduate Diploma in Education. On Australia Day 2011, Madeline was named a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia, due to her service to the profession of interior design as a practitioner and educator, and to the promotion of the industry in a range of roles with national and international representative organizations.
Madeline is the current President of the International Federation of Interior Architects and Designers, Past National President of the Design Institute of Australia, and the current Adjunct Associate Professor of Design and Acting Head of Interior Architecture at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. She is also a Lecturer at the School of Design, University of Technology, Sydney, and Director and Chair of the highly acclaimed Sydney Design 99.
